Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West and doubles as Communications and Digitalization minister, Hon. Ursula Owusu Ekuful has described the Eighteen (17) Members of Parliament (MPs) from the Majority Caucus of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) side as a complete trajectory and disaster.
According to her, this voluntary exit has sparked significant speculation and discussions about the future trajectory of the NPP in the coming years.
Among the noteworthy MPs opting not to seek reelection are prominent figures such as Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu (Suame), First Deputy Speaker, Joe Osei Owusu (Bekwai), Atta Akyea (Abuakwa South), Joe Ghartey (Essikado Ketan), and Ken Agyapong (Assin Central).
Speaking on the matter after her vetting process at NPP regional vetting centre in Nungua , Hon. Ursula Owusu Ekuful said the decision has undoubtedly left a void in the party’s leadership and parliamentary representation and duties.
She added that this is the time they exhibit their experiences learned from these honorable personalities in continuing the parliamentary process and duties in the future.
