The Member of Parliament (MP), of Anyaa Sowotuom, Hon. Dr. Adomako Kissi, in collaboration with the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Church has Constructed a 6-UNIT CLASSROOM BLOCK and a 10-SEATER TOILET FACILITY for Odorgonno Senior High schools (SHS) to ensure that, the school children are taught in a safe environment.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Dr. Adomako Kissi, expressed excitement about the new built School facility being Commissioned within the 6-months period for learning to boost education in the Constituency, stressing the facility will produce more elites to the Constituency and applauded the NPP Government for the tremendous contribution in education sector.
In his remarks after receiving the Keys, the Headmaster of the Odorgonno Senior High School, Mr. Patrick Mensah, showers his appreciation to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the MP of Anyaa Sowotuom Constituency for their immense contribution to the Odorgonno SHS and his efforts to provide a Comfortable teaching and learning environment for the students in the Constituency
Mr. Patrick Mensah, entreated, lack of infrastructure in Odorgonno SHS has made a congested classrooms, which impacts teaching and learning negatively, he highted the School has a lot of problems and it became necessary for the MP to Lobbied for the 6-Unit classrooms block commissioned to enable it reduce the pressure of the accommodation.
In Furtherance, stressed the School has a lot of challenges and the notable ones are the lack of Science Lab and Boarding Facilities, noting, the school has seen enrollment grow with few facilities to accommodate the pupil population and with the intervention, the 6-Unit Classrooms will be able to accommodate plenty of the Students and Oliver Twist asked for more, so appealed to Government, Stakeholders and other Organizations to come to their aid.
On his part, the Director for affairs in the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Church, Mr. FLint Ekyem-Mensah, stressed, the projects are in response to an appeal from the Member of Parliament and the School Authority.
He tasked the teachers and students to ensure proper maintenance of them facility and reminded the facility is to boost learning to breed more graduates in the School.
