Ultimate K-9 Security Services (UK-9 Security Services) organized a Health and Peace Walk on Saturday, November 2, 2024, to educate Ghanaians about the importance of prioritizing peace as the country approaches its critical elections.
The walk commenced at El-Walk Sports Stadium and concluded at the agency’s headquarters in Tse Addo.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer of UK-9 Security Services, who is also a professional dog trainer, Kenneth Singah, emphasized the need for peace and stability in Ghana during this election period.
According to him, as a security agency, they cannot sit down and watch the country go astray, hence, this walk aims to educate Ghanaians on the importance of peace and to ensure that the elections are violence-free.
“Election is coming and there will be so many security issues and all kinds of things. We are gathered here to educate ourselves and to inform ourselves about some of the security tips that we can learn to ensure that we keep our environment safe,” he stated.
Mr. Singah highlighted the potential security issues that could arise during elections and stressed the importance of training security personnel to effectively carry out their duties.
He encouraged participants to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities in their communities.
“So what we are doing is that we are educating them that wherever they are, they can look out for criminal activities and that they should be vigilant in whatever they are doing,” Mr Singah noted.
The event also aimed to engage the youth in peaceful voting practices, urging them to reject any incitement to violence from political figures during the electoral process.
Mr Singah called for collaboration between public and private security agencies to establish a stable environment for the upcoming elections on December 7.
He stressed that the Health and Peace Walk not only served as a platform for raising awareness about electoral security but also fostered community spirit as participants united for a common cause.
According to him, initiatives like this are crucial in promoting dialogue and understanding among citizens, ensuring that Ghana’s democratic processes remain intact.
