DECEMBER POLLS, NESTF MEETS WITH TWO KEY STAKEHOLDERS TO BRIEF THEM OF THE PREPAREDNESS AHEAD OF ELECTIONS

In their quest to ensure violence free elections, the National Election Security Task Force has engaged two key stakeholders to brief them of their preparedness

The two institutions are the Commonwealth observer group mission in Ghana led by immediate past president of Botswana,Mokgweetsi Masisi, and a delegation from Security Organisation to discuss elections security arrangements put in place by NESTF

Dr. George Akufo Dampare pleaded with the PSO,to carry their duties in a manner not the affects the operations of the elections security task force before, during, and after the general elections

According to him, the NESTF does not want to create doubts in the minds of Ghanaians and international observers who are in charge of security in the general elections.

Dr. George Akufo Dampare reiterated the security agencies’ commitment to be fair, firm, and professional in their operations as Ghanaians go to the polls to decide on who become the next president.

Leader of Delegation for the Commonwealth observer group mission in Ghana and also the former president of Botswana, Mokgweetsi Masisi, commend the NESTF for the job done so far.

According to him,the arrangements put together by the National Election Security Task Force are one of the best compared to other African countries with regard to Election Security.

Mr Masisi is of the view that Ghanaians are going to witness the best elections based on their engagements with stakeholders, which matters in the electoral process in Ghana.
