The Co-chair of the Advisory Board of the Coalition of Domestic Election Observer(CODEO) Rev. Fred Deegbe has pointed out that CODEO will be verifying the presidential election results declared by EC with the help of PVT.
The Parallel Vote Tabulation (PVT) methodology for election observation is a powerful citizens’ tool for monitoring the conduct of polling on Election Day and for verifying official results as announced by Election Management Bodies.
CODEO, extensive experience in citizens election observation, has been established as a trusted source of credible, non-partisan, and objective information on Ghana’s electoral process with its history dating back to 2000
Speaking at a press briefing ahead of tomorrow’s exercise,Fred Deegbe alluded that CODEO will be deploying 40,000 Observers who will observe the polls at a representative sample of polling station spread throughout the 276 constituencies across the 16 regions of the country.
According to him,CODEO will supports and compliments the efforts of the Electoral Commission and other stakeholders by mobilizing Ghanaians to participate electoral process,adding that CODEO,primary goal is to promote transparent, free, fair, inclusive and peaceful elections in government.
