NDC SECURES INJUNCTION AGAINST EASTERN REGION RE-COLLATION AT POLICE DETECTIVE ACADEMY.

The National Democratic Congress NDC has secured an interlocutory injunction against the ongoing re-collation process of the 4 Outstanding Constituencies in the Eastern Region, including election results of the Nsawam-Adoagyiri constituency.

The re-collation process, which started on Thursday, December 12 at the Tesano police Depot, was postponed to be continued on Friday, December 13, 2024.

The process has become necessary after contention about figures on the pink sheet, which do not tally.

However, amidst the process, the returning officer for the Electoral Commission in the constituency announced that an interlocutory injunction has been obtained by the EC. Hence, the process was halted.

At a press conference, Mr Johnson Aseidu Nketia, the chairman of NDC, warned the influential individuals, including chiefs, not interfering with the electoral process by pressuring commissioned officers to disregard the law.

According to him, the party was not involved or informed about the ongoing process at the police detective academy at Teseno, where the police are assisting the electoral commission. Re-collation is the result.

The chairman said the NDC party will find everything possible to stop the ongoing process because it is against the law and electoral process.
