Board member of the Scouts and GuideFellowship Ghana, Dr Mettle-Nunoo,has alluded one of the primary goals as scout is to train the Ghanaian youth to be Patriotic and loyal.
According to him, as scouts, they have roles to play in ensuring they inculcate discipline, volunteerism, and leadership in youth to help the country move.
Speaking at the scout and Guide Awards 2024,Dr. Edward Mettle-Nunoo emphasized that the fellowship is non-political, non religious,and non ethnic,rather, they work with work with all governments and support all government initiatives for the betterment of the nation.
“our plan to have an ultra modern Training Center,to train the youth in marketable skills, in character training in first aid administration, disaster and all other areas,We believe that with this training, we are going to get loyal citizens, majority citizens, citizens with voluntary spirit that could lead this nation forward”he quizzes.
He is of the view that, with the establishment of the training centre, the next generation Ghanaians would have leaders who are humble, discipline and law abiding ,and will live to raise high the flag of Ghana.
Dr.Nunoo pointed out that Scouts are trained to be disciplined,obedient, humble,above all thoughtful and mindful of what they say,adding that Persons who are interested to join the scout and Guide Fellowship Ghana are free join.
