GENDER MINISTRY LAUNCHES CHILDCARE CENTRE AIMS AT PROVIDING SUPPORT TO WORKING PARENTS

The Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection has taken a significant step towards supporting its staff, particularly working mothers, by launching a childcare centre

The centre, designed for children aged 0-3 years, aims to provide quality care and stimulation, allowing parents to work with peace of mind.

Minister Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey emphasized the importance of supporting working parents, especially mothers, in achieving their professional goals while ensuring their children receive quality care.

According to her, the initiative reflects the ministry’s commitment to the welfare of children and working parents, aligning with its mission for inclusive development and social protection.

She alluded that childcare center will provide a child-friendly environment, enabling parents to focus on their work without worrying about their children’s care.

The Krowor lawmaker hinted that the initiative with support from external partners will be expanded to various ministries and government agencies to help aid working mothers.
