The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ga West, Desmond Nii Sowah, has reaffirmed his commitment to driving development in the constituency. Speaking at a gathering, MCE Sowah outlined key initiatives aimed at improving education, healthcare, water access, and sanitation.

The assembly has paid medical bills for two persons with disabilities and supported four students with disabilities through university education. Plans are underway to construct six classroom blocks, a library, and offices to enhance learning environments. A chip compound will also be built to boost healthcare services.

To address water scarcity, 16 boreholes will be constructed as part of the midterm development plan. The assembly also intends to install more streetlights and improve sanitation with a new task force.

MCE Sowah emphasized inclusivity, stating no student will be left behind. The assembly has recruited 110 additional staff, including 30 sanitation officers and 20 revenue collectors.

National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Chairman, Asiedu Nketiah, praised the Ga West assembly for its developmental efforts. He highlighted road construction progress and assured members of ongoing support, including addressing road delays and national service recruitment.

The NDC chairman also addressed party unity, urging members in Amasaman to work together for the community’s development.
