I am ready and willing to contest for the Ahafo Ano North Constituency Chairmanship position on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress, NDC. This is because the people of Ahafo Ano North are suffering from a lack of unity and transparency, especially at the grassroots level.
I have made my stand to contest for the chairmanship so that we can win power in 2028. Without a good leader, we cannot win.
As I was saying, Ahafo Ano North won a significant number of votes in the presidential election, but in the parliamentary election, the opposition MP won. Why? Because our leadership was weak. That is why we lost.
The National Chairman made a policy that before you can contest for a branch position, you must pay one year’s dues. I took it upon myself and paid for every branch member who wants to be an executive member.
On 20th June 2026, we are going for branch elections. I have made it clear that after the branch elections, I will present my request to them so that they can vote for me as Party Chairman on 3rd October. Then I can bring the party to power in 2028.
