MCE RALLIES RESIDENTS ON TAX PAYMENT TO ADDRESS LOCAL CONCERNS AND SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kwahu West Municipal Assembly Hon. Tamimu Halidu,has urged Residents to support the Municipality efforts to accelerate development in the area and its surrounding community by ensuring successful tax payment in support of government common fund for developmental projects.
He made the appeal at the assembly’s maiden “Community engagement” in five (5) communities namely Abetensu, Nkawana number 1, Asuoso, Kwahu Nsabaa and Nkawana number 2
aimed at gaining firsthand insights challenges faced by residents and seeks to foster dialogue and collaboration between local authorities and community members to identify and address pressing issues affecting the Municipality.
Hon. Tamimu Halidu,in furtherance stressed, the engagement was intended to present the assembly’s achievements, ongoing projects and interventions to listen to their concerns, suggestions, aspirations and also provide opportunity for residents to voice their needs and priorities directly to Municipal leadership.
He opined that the assembly had made significant progress in improving infrastructure and service delivery through collaboration with government agencies, development partners and local stakeholders and therefore, called on residents to support the Assembly to ensure successful completion of projects by paying of their needed Taxes and tolls.
For their part, Some Residents commended the leadership of the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly and the MCE for organizing the forum and given them opportunities to address their challenges and also demonstrating their commitment in addressing their challenges .
To them it will strengthen collaboration between the assembly and citizens within the municipality therefore appealed for developmental needs like, Chips compound, School Building, Reshape of Road network and many more.
