The Christian Mothers’ Association (CMA) of St. Peter Catholic Church, Adjen Kotoku and Divine Mercy Church, Papaase has welcomed 45 new members into the association.

The initiation ceremony took place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at St. Peter Catholic Church, Adjen Kotoku, the new members comprise 26 Mothers, 4 Sons and 15 Daughters of the association.

Delivering the retreat talk, Rev. Fr. Sylvester urged members to love one another, help one another and protect one another. He charged them to be mothers of hope and mothers of light.

“Initiation is not for decoration, but to be a mother of a helping hand. We should be mentors to our young ones. We are not competing with anybody but ourselves,” he said.

In his homily, Fr. Sylvester told the initiates that joining the Christian Mothers’ Association should be a permanent commitment.

“When you join the Christian Mothers’ Association, it should be permanent. Whether you leave the society or not, you still remain a permanent member. As a child of God, do not be afraid because God is always with you. Let the grace of God envelop you and your family,” he preached.

After the homily and bidding prayers, Fr. Sylvester performed the Initiation Rites for the 45 new members, followed by Thanksgiving Offering, Offertory and Communion.

He advised the new initiates to live up to their calling. He also spoke about his upcoming 10th Priestly Anniversary and appealed to the Diocesan and Deanery Executives to support him in the Mission House Project.
