CSSp, Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra, Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie, has confirmed 12 members of St. Peter Catholic Church, Adjen-Kotoku, during his one-day pastoral visit to the parish.

The sacrament of confirmation, which included young women, men, boys, and girls, was administered after a period of thorough preparation.

As part of the ceremony, the Archbishop posed questions to the candidates to test their understanding of the Catholic faith, all of which were answered satisfactorily.

In his homily, Archbishop Kwofie urged the newly confirmed to remain steadfast in their faith and avoid drifting away from the Church.

He reminded them that, as “soldiers of Christ,” they are now called to defend the faith and actively contribute to the spiritual and communal life of the parish.

Some of the confirmands shared personal testimonies about what drew them to the Church, reflecting their commitment to living out the teachings of the Catholic faith.

The occasion concluded with a vibrant celebration, as parishioners and visitors from other churches came together to rejoice with the newly confirmed.

The event was marked by singing, dancing, photography, and socialization, leaving the parish community strengthened and united.

The confirmation ceremony not only deepened the faith of the candidates but also underscored the Archbishop’s ongoing call for renewal, commitment, and active participation in the life of the Church.
