The administrator of the Ga-Dangbe Freedom Movement, Duke Elvis Nii Koney Laryea has lamented the government’s neglect of the reconstruction of the La General Hospital.
He mentioned this during the demonstration of residents of La over the government turning deaf ears to their cries on the reconstruction of the La General Hospital.

According to him, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ladadekotopon, Hon. Rita Naa Odofoley always raised this issue whenever in session in parliament but the Akufo-Addo’s government has turned deaf ears to all her pleas.
He added that the Akufo-Addo’s government is doing everything possible to destroy every accomplishment of the first president of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, and has not made any intention to rebuild them.
He stressed that the Trade Fair, just like the La General Hospital, was demolished since the government made up its intentions of rebuilding it however, they left the site abandoned and upon several petitions written to the government, they have turned deaf ears to their cries.

He is, therefore, asking the government to hand over documents of the La General Hospital so the Ga-Dangbe Freedom Movement will continue the project since the government has not made any intention of doing so.
