Vice President Bawumia optimistic about Ghana’s economic recovery

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has expressed optimism about Ghana’s economic recovery in the coming year.

Speaking at the party’s Thanksgiving Service at its headquarters, he highlighted the significant progress made in 2023, aiming to make their dream of breaking the eight-year cycle a reality in the upcoming general election.

Dr. Bawumia emphasized the party’s commitment to moving towards greater recovery in 2024 after turning the corner.

He mentioned that parliamentary candidates for orphan constituencies have already been elected, and in January, representatives for constituencies with incumbent Members of Parliament will be elected.

The Vice President assured the party of his commitment to ensuring a free, fair, and transparent election process so that all candidates can accept the outcome.

Dr. Bawumia also pointed out the remarkable decline in the prices of essential items, such as cement, fuel, cooking oil, iron rods, rice, and maize, signaling positive developments in the economy.
