The Director of Royal Life Montessori School at makroin the suame municipality of the Ashanti Region. Mensah Aborampa Opoku, has urged parents to ensure their children remain dedicated to their studies throughout the Christmas holidays.
Speaking at the inauguration of the school’s new ICT Laboratory, Mr Mensah Aborampa Opoku stressed that the festive season should not distract students from their academic responsibilities.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining a balance between enjoying the holiday season and continuing to learn. “While Christmas is a time for celebration, it is also important that children stay engaged with their education,” he said.
He urged parents to monitor their children’s study habits and ensure they remain productive during the break to avoid falling behind in their studies.
Additionally, Mr Mensah Aborampa Opoku called on the government to consider distributing educational materials to private schools alongside public schools. He pointed out that private institutions, such as Royal Life Montessori, contribute to the country’s development through taxes and should be recognized in the allocation of teaching resources.
This, he argued, would ensure that all students, regardless of the type of school they attend, have equal access to quality learning materials.
The opening of the new ICT Laboratory at Royal Life Montessori School is seen as a major step in enhancing the school’s academic offerings. The facility is equipped with the latest technology to help students improve their digital literacy and prepare them for future opportunities in the tech-driven world.
