Presiding Bishop for Methodist Church Ghana, Most Rev. Dr. Paul Kwabena Boafo has urged political leaders and their followers to be circumspect in their utterances ahead of the 2024 general elections.
According to him, political leaders should address issues instead of resorting to insults, intemperate language, and inflaming passions for conflict.
He made this statement when he delivered his Christmas and New Year message at the Wesley towers in Accra, he said we may belong to different political parties but that does not make us enemies.
He said let us rejoice that the light of Christ promises to banish the darkness and may it light our economic and political way in the coming year.
He however urged Ghanaians to think, speak, live, and work towards peace before, during, and after this Christmas and New Year festive as well as general elections. He finally called on Ghanaians to pray for the victory of Ghana our dear nation.
He therefore on the media to seize the opportunity to promote messages of peace and tranquility that will bring victory to Ghana our dear nation.
