Boamah vows to win Okaikwei Central for NPP

The Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central constituency Patrick Boamah has been acclaimed as the parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party for Okaikwei Central at the party’s primaries at the Harrow International School at Abeka at Greater Accra this morning.
Moments after the Municipal Electoral Officer for Okaikwei North, Mrs Eunice Yeboah Quaye raised his hand to acclaim him as the NPP candidate, he revealed that the government had awarded a 49 million dollar contract for asphalting of roads in the constituency.


“We are also constructing six new classroom blocks for the Tesano Cluster of School, 12 new classroom blocks for Fadama and Apenkwa, and paving seven lanes of road at Blue Gates, Obonteng, CAC, Olengele, Fadama, Tesano, and Lapaz,”
he noted.


In front of over 2000 supporters including delegates, he pledged to enroll more youth on youth employment this year and acquire driving licenses for over 100 drivers and would-be drivers.


“Last year my outfit acquired 100 driving licenses for the youth in the constituency, we also collaborated with the DVLA to conduct eye and ear screening for drivers in the constituency,”
he noted.


He further disclosed that 350 youth in his constituency were specially trained at the Ghana Telecoms University last year in various professions and skill sets adding that twice the number are expected to be trained this year.
He called for unity and charged the supporters to fight extra hard to ensure victory for the NPP.


The deputy General Secretary of the NPP in Greater Accra, Madam Perpetual Asante charged supporters of the party to unite and throw their weight behind the party.
Supporters of the party numbering over a thousand marched through the streets of Abeka Total Road to celebrate the MP’s acclamation.
