The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the NPP has today unanimously affirmed the MP for the Efutu constituency Alexander Afenyo Markins as the majority leader in Parliament
According to the NEC in an emergency meeting held today in Accra, the shakeup in the majority caucus was preceded by the stepdown of Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu willingly.
Addressing the media after the meeting, the National Organizer of the party, Henry Nana Boakye confirmed Hon Alexander Afenyo Markin as the new majority leader, ably assisted by the MP for Asokwa, Patricia Appiagyei.
He furthered that Annor Dompreh remains the Chief Whip
In addition, Henry Nana Boakye indicated Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu remains the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs.
