Mrs Peggy Osei Tutu Dzodzomenyo, Donated 104 Bible’s to SVD Ghana/ Liberia province Biblical and Pastoral ministry for the youth Bible camp.
During an interview with the media, Mrs Peggy Osei Tutu Dzodzomenyo mentioned that Rev. Fr. Mustang had informed her that the Church was teaching children about the Bible. After the teachings, the children were encouraged to read the Bible and continue their learning at home. In order to ensure that the foundation built during the program was not in vain, they decided to gift a Bible to every child who attended the program. A total of 104 Bibles were bought, and the children were encouraged to read at least one chapter every day. The objective was for them to complete reading the Bible by April 22nd, 2025.
Mrs Peggy Osei Tutu Dzodzomenyo also talked about the challenges that children face in today’s world. With so much darkness in the world and the ease of using social media for evil purposes, teaching children about the Bible could help them shine in the dark world. She emphasized that Catholics do read the Bible, and in fact, Catholics were the ones who wrote the Bible. Everything they do in the Church has a reason in the Bible.
The children are considered the hope of the Church, and it is important that they continue to learn and grow. By reading the Bible every day, they will gain the confidence to live their lives and become scripture ambassadors. The plan is for them to replicate themselves and teach others what they have learned. Mrs. Peggy Osei Tutu Dzodzomenyo’s prayer is that through this program, they will get Reverend Fathers, Sisters, Brothers, and God-fearing partners.
