The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly has held a swearing-in and inauguration ceremony for Unit Committee Members, Bantama Sub-Metro District Council and Bantama Town Council Members.
An election was also conducted to elect a Chairperson for both the Sub-Metro and the Town Council.
The Chief Executive Officer of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Hon. Samuel Payne addressing the ceremony urged the councils to abide by the laws of the assembly and work diligently for the betterment of Kumasi and Ashanti Region.
Hon. Samuel Payne called on all inaugurated members to work hand in hand with other stakeholders and ensure peace and unity prevail among them.
He therefore urged them to do their best in generating revenue for the assembly as all projects done by KMA are from the revenue generated fund.
On their part Hon. I.K. Acheampong, elected Chairperson for Bantama Sub-Metro and Hon. Kwabena Boateng, Chairperson elect for Bantama Town Council, shared their vision for the council.
