WOMEN’S ORGANISER ASPIRANT DECLARES CONFIDENCE AHEAD OF SATURDAY POLLS

Aspiring Women’s Organiser for the National Democratic Congress(NDC) in the Amasaman Constituency, Beatrice Badasu, has expressed optimism about winning Saturday’s constituency elections, saying she is confident of being declared winner by 5 p.m.

Speaking to the media, Ms. Badasu, who has contested the position before, said she has put in a lot of work this time and is hopeful that the hard work will translate into victory.

According to her, the difference between this year’s election and the previous ones she contested is that the party was then in opposition and focus was not on internal elections, but now that the NDC is in power, more attention will be given to the polls.

She appealed to delegates to forgive past offences and vote massively for competent leaders, stressing that the executives to be elected on Saturday will play a crucial role in supporting the Member of Parliament to deliver and secure victory in the 2028 general elections.

“This year’s election I call it the 2028 elections. The leaders we will elect on Saturday will be the ones to support the MP to do the good works. If we don’t elect good leaders on Saturday, the 2028 elections might not be in our favour,” she said.

“I plead with all delegates to pardon anyone who has offended them and vote massively for good people to be our executives for the coming years to support the MP,” she added.

She explained that if competent executives are elected and they support the MP to perform well, the MP stands a better chance of being retained, which gives him extra years to work, which will benefit the constituency.
