The chief of Akyem Akokoaso in the Akyemansa district (Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency) of Eastern region; Nana Asare Bediako III has warned people in his community especially the youth to stay off from any violent act on election day as he leads the community to rally for peace during and after election.
Nana Asare Bediako III, chief of Akyem Akokoaso in the Akyemansa district of Eastern region has led his community to rally for peace ahead of December 7 polls, hopping to have peace in his community during and after this year’s elections.
Speaking to the media during a peace walk help on the principal streets of Akyem Akokoaso, he emphasized that peace is the only valuable asset Ghana has which can’t be exchanged for anything hence he would encourage everyone especially people of the Akokoaso community to preach peace before, during and after this year’s election.
He has, therefore, warned people of the Akyem Akokoaso community, especially the youth, to desist from any violent act that could end them in police custody.
Meanwhile, other dignitaries who joined the peace walk also added their voices to the chief’s call and advocated for peace in this year’s elections.
