In their pursuit to maintaining peace and order, the Ghana Police Service has arrested 12 suspects in Damango in the northern part of Ghana.
The Police Service at the briefing alluded that
preliminary investigations have established that the suspects attacked and caused damage to some state properties, including the Electoral Commission Office in the constituency in the Savannah region

Addressing the media ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi opined that the suspects attacked the residences of District Chief Executives and some coalition centres.
The head of public affairs directorate for Ghana Police Service further alleged that some of the suspects broke into warehouse ment for school feeding project in Damango and made away with some items including food stuff.
According to her,photos of the attack, vandalism, and looting have been obtained and are being reviewed by a team of investigators to get the perpetrators arrested to face justice.
ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi entreated the general public to remain calm as police officers have been deployed to flash points in some constituencies to intensify security.
