
Smiles were brought on the faces of children within the Kwahu enclave when the Queen-mother of Kwahu Obo organised end of year party for them.
The children were treated to foods, assorted drinks and toffees, with a series of activities, including dance competitions, music after which some children were given prizes.

Addressing the event, Queen-mother of Kwahu Obo traditional area,Nana Afriyie Fosua Kobour ll, highlighted the importance of such programmes in motivating children to socialize and learn, especially during festive seasons to shown love, care and it was meant to put smiles on the faces of the children in her community.
According to her, during such a festive season, most of the children were neglected and added that the party had become an annual event since 8 years and she will ensure that the event sustained and make sure children in the community given the best of care.
Nana Afriyie Fosua Kobour ll,promised the donates fifty (50) School uniforms to some School Children at Kwahu Obo to help raise high the standard of education in her community.
She used the occasion to urge children to be focused in life and desist from acts that had the tendency to thwart their progress like
Teenage pregnancy to enable them to become better people in society.
The traditional leader also challenged parents to prioritize their children’s educational needs to pursue their future dreams in the community.
In Furtherance, Nana Afriyie Fosua Kobour ll issued a plea to the incoming President John Dramani Mahama, to include traditional leaders in national policy and decision-making processes.
She expressed the concerns of sidelining traditional leaders in crucial national decisions and pleaded for the inclussion in helping fight the Galamsey issue, stressing most of them are trying their best to help fight some of the challenges especially with issues concerning Galamsey and expressed they will be very happy if the government include them to embark on more advocacy projects.
