The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released all withheld 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results.
This decision follows after the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) threatened to stage a nationwide protest if WAEC fails to release these results.
WAEC withheld over 10,000 results over alleged examination malpractices. However, WAEC assured Ghanaians that those withheld results will be released on February 28, 2025.
Speaking in an interview with Citi FM, Head of Public Affairs at WAEC, John Kapi, revealed that there are no outstanding results, including those involved in legal disputes.
“As we promised, we kept to our promises. So by the close of February 28, we had updated all the results of the candidates whose results had been withheld,” he said.
He stressed that the court ordered WAEC to release all results and have complied hence, so far as those results were concerned, they do not have any outstanding results.
