The Asankrangwa KROYE KUO in the USA, in partnership with the Amenfi West Municipal Education Directorate, organized a quiz competition for basic schools in the Municipality.
The 15 participating schools were:

- Asetec Model
- Catholic J S S Asankrangwa
- Methodist J S S Asankrangwa
- Amoaman M/A J H S
- Gyaman M/A J H S
- Asankrangwa M/A J H S
- St. Benedict
- Mt. Calvary
- Buadum JHS
- SDA
- Alhaj Toppo
- Presby Redemption
- Sika Nti JHS.
From these schools, three advanced to the finals: IBS Educational Complex, Mt. Calvary, and Buadum JHS. The final round took place on March 5, 2025, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Hall in Asankragwa.
The competition, part of the annual quiz event organized by the Asankragwa Korye Kuo in the USA and the Amenfi West Education Directorate, was a resounding success.
By 7 am, the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Hall was packed with eager parents, students, and citizens of the Municipality, who came from far and wide to witness the event. Invited guests, dignitaries, and officials from the Education Directorate were also present.
After a challenging four rounds of intense questions from the quizmaster, the IBS Educational Complex emerged victorious with 56 points, securing the title.
Mt. Calvary and Buadum JHS finished second and third with 47 and 40 points, respectively.
The award ceremony for the winners, finalists, and all participating schools took place at Boadum Park in Asankragwa, featuring a vibrant and celebratory atmosphere.
Distinguished attendees included Chiefs, leaders of the Asankragwa Korye Kuo, Hon. Eric Afful (MP), the guest of honor, the Co-ordinating Director of the District Assembly (representing the MCE), the Municipal Director of Education, District Commanders of Police and Immigration, and other community leaders.
Mrs. Alberta Amoo Boakye, Vice-President of the Asankragwa Korye Kuo (USA), speaking to Oman FM after the event, encouraged Ghanaians abroad to invest more in the youth at home.
She emphasized the importance of fostering patriotism, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills to help shape the next generation of responsible citizens.
She also expressed her gratitude to the Education Directorate, Chiefs, teachers, students, and everyone involved for making the event a great success.
