The Lotus group Limited mining division has cut sod for the construction of a GHS 3.5 million chips compound at Akyem Nanapa in the Eastern region of Ghana.
The Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Lotus group, Mr Thomas Larbi, reiterated the company’s commitment to the general well-being of their staff and people within where they operate.
To him,the construction of the ultra modern chips compound is expected to be completed within the next 6 month period and promised to do more developmental for the community.
On his part,Nana Baffour Akwei,Odikro of Akyem Nanapa, expressed his gratitude for the initiative and called for more developmental projects for the community.
Madam Ellen Biamsey,who is also a Unit Committee member of the area, used the opportunity to pleaded with the workers to stay away from the teenagers in the community to avoid unwanted pregnancy.
