GOASO CATHOLIC BISHOP CAUTIONS PROPHETS, URGES YOUTH TO USE SOCIAL MEDIA POSITIVELY
The Catholic Bishop of the Goaso Diocese, Most Rev. Peter Kwaku Atuahene has advised some Ghanaian prophets to be guided in their prophecies by what God truly reveals to them, instead of pronouncing doom and death upon people.
According to him, prophecies that create fear, panic, and heartbreak do not reflect the true message of God. He stressed that men of God should rather focus on edifying and uplifting messages that strengthen the faith of believers.
Speaking at the celebration of the Feast of the Assumption 2025 at the Our Lady of Victory Grotto at Tepa-Manfo in the Ahafo Ano north of the Ashanti Region, Most Rev. Atuahene also turned his attention to the youth, urging them to make good use of social media.
He expressed worry over the growing misuse of social media platforms by the younger generation and encouraged them to embrace its positive side, which can be used for education, evangelism, and personal growth.
The Director of the Our Lady of Victory Grotto, Rev. Fr. David Owusu Asante also spoke at the event. He explained the spiritual importance of the Feast of the Assumption and urged Christians to remain steadfast in worship and in their faith in God.
