Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Church in the Accra Diocese, Archbishop Anthony Narh Asare, paid a visit to Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church to join in its first-year anniversary celebration.
The celebration was held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the church’s premises in Dome Sampaman.
During the mass service, Archbishop Anthony Narh Asare shared valuable insights with the congregation, emphasizing the importance of personally experiencing God’s love and sharing it with others.
Using a relatable analogy, the Archbishop explained that just as a mother tastes food before feeding her baby to ensure it’s safe and palatable, Christians should experience God’s word and share it with others.
He also clarified that salvation is not dependent on physical proximity to the Pope or visiting holy sites, but rather on one’s personal relationship with God.
The Bishop encouraged the congregation to focus on their faith and not be swayed by external influences.
He used the example of a classroom, where one can learn and grow, to illustrate the importance of actively participating in church life.
He also cautioned against judging others’ salvation and instead encouraged6 individuals to focus on their own spiritual journey.
The Bishop acknowledged that following Christ can be challenging, but emphasized that it is a worthwhile endeavor.
Archbishop Narh also used the opportunity to encourage the congregation to persevere and trust in God’s plan.
