E/R: FANTEAKWA SOUTH HONOURS OUTSTANDING TEACHERS AT 3RD ANNUAL AWARDS CEREMONY
The Fanteakwa South District Education Directorate has honoured exceptional teachers and non-teaching staff for their remarkable contributions to education at its 3rd Edition of the Teachers Awards Ceremony held in the Eastern Region.
The event, themed “Igniting Passion for an Educational Reset,” celebrated educators from the Kindergarten, Primary, Junior High School, and Senior High School level.
Rev. Edmund Asante, Administrative Officer of New Nsutam Senior High Technical School, was adjudged the Overall Best Teacher, receiving a refrigerator and a microwave as his top prize
Addressing the ceremony, Mr. Richard Akosah-Addo, the Fanteakwa South District Director of Education, praised the awardees for their dedication, professionalism, and sustained commitment to advancing quality education in the district.
He expressed hope that such recognition would inspire more teachers to strive for excellence, noting that celebrating brilliance helps build a culture of high academic standards and performance.
Mr. Akosah-Addo also expressed gratitude to Mr. Emmanuel Gama, CEO of GAMA Company Ltd, for his continuous support toward educational development and thanked school managements for their pivotal role in promoting the awards initiative.
Speaking on behalf of the CEO,Mr. Oppong Dankwa commended teachers for their vital role in shaping learners, emphasising that discipline and guidance remain crucial to student success.
He noted that the company’s support was driven by a desire to motivate educators to achieve greater outcomes and position the district as a leader in academic excellence.
In his remarks, Rev. Edmund Asante, Administrative Officer of New Nsutam Senior High Technical School,who emerged as the District’s Best Teacher, expressed surprise and gratitude for the recognition.
He acknowledged his students for inspiring him to improve continually and encouraged fellow educators to uphold high standards, reminding them that their work goes beyond teaching to shaping character, values, and future leaders.
