Video evidence showed that Dominic Bingab Aduna Nitiwul urged the delegates to back Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, claiming that Konkombas nationwide were already supporting him and warning that choosing Kennedy would “disgrace” their community.
Many describe the comments made by the former minister as reckless and unnecessary, arguing that this kind of tribal messaging divides the party rather than strengthens it,adding that delegates should be engaged with ideas, plans and competence, not fear or ethnic labels.
According to insiders, worries about tribal undertones in sections of the Bawumia campaign have been building for months, but this latest episode has pushed the concerns into the spotlight.
