JUASO SHTS CELEBRATES 4 DECADES OF ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE,APPEALS FOR URGENT SUPPORT
The Headmistress of Juaso Senior High Technical School in the Asante Akyem South Municipality of the Ashanti Region, Mrs. Ishmaelia Crentsil, has appealed for urgent support to address the numerous infrastructural challenges facing the school. She made the appeal during the school’s 40th Anniversary celebration, which took place on the school compound under the theme “40 Years of Educating, Inspiring and Empowering for National Development.”

Mrs. Crentsil explained that the school is confronted with several major difficulties that continue to hinder effective teaching and learning. According to her, the boys’ boarding facility is in a poor state, the dining hall is inadequate, and the kitchen lacks the necessary equipment required to serve students properly. She further revealed that the school does not have a bus, staff accommodation remains insufficient, and there is no assembly hall to host gatherings and official school events.
She also highlighted concerns about the poor condition of washroom facilities, the shortage of computers and ICT tools, and the school’s inadequate drainage system. Additionally, she noted that the school struggles with an unreliable water supply, which affects both academic and boarding activities.
Mrs. Crentsil therefore called on stakeholders, benevolent individuals, NGOs, corporate organizations, and especially past students to come to the aid of the school. She emphasized that Juaso Senior High Technical School has contributed significantly to national development over the past four decades, and improving its infrastructure will enable it to continue fulfilling its mandate.
Addressing the gathering, the Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem South Constituency, Hon. Kwaku Asante Boateng, encouraged the students to take their studies seriously. He urged them to remain disciplined and dedicated to their academic work in order to achieve their future goals, reminding them that education remains the surest path to success.
