The late Mr. Kwabena Danso, a respected member of his community, will be laid to rest on February 21, 2026, at Atibie-Kwahu. Born in 1955 to Opanin Kwadwo Achiaw of the Ekonna Royal Family of Atibie-Kwahu and Obaapanin Akua Konadu of the Aduana Royal Family of Kwahu Obomeng, both of blessed memory, Mr. Danso was raised in a loving and disciplined home.
As he matured, Mr. Danso entered into marriage with Madam Akua Yeboah from Obo-Kwahu of blessed memory, and they were blessed with a son. After this marriage ended, he later married Madam Yaa Attaa from Nkawkaw Kuma, and they were blessed with two children, a male and a female. In total, he was blessed with three wonderful children: Asante, Leticia, and Michael, Assistant Divisional Officer I (ADOI) at Ghana National Fire Service.
The funeral rites will take place from February 20 to 22, 2026, in Atibie-Kwahu, Ghana. There will be no wake-keeping on February 20, but the laying in state will take place on February 21 at the Atibie-Kwahu Methodist Park. The interment will follow at the Atibie-Kwahu Community Cemetery, and the final funeral rites will be held at the Community Durbar Grounds.
The transition chief mourners include Tiefuomere Aduana Adehyee Abusuapanin Nana Kofi Abokyi Addo II, Obeomeng Abakomahene, and other dignitaries. The family invites friends and sympathizers to join them in honoring Mr. Danso’s life and legacy. “Your presence, prayers, and support will be deeply appreciated as we honour his life and legacy,” the announcement read.
The funeral will be attended by various dignitaries, including traditional rulers, clergy, and family members.
