*ONYASNA, GREATER ACCRA* — As the Homowo Festival approaches, Asfoatse Kwame Bekoe is calling for the official invitation to the celebration to be sent out immediately to ensure maximum participation.

With the festival scheduled for *Friday, 8th August*, and with the end of July already here, he notes that early notice will give residents, indigenes, and visitors enough time to plan travel, prepare food, and make arrangements to join the celebrations at Oyansana.

“People need time to plan. The earlier they hear, the bigger the turnout we will have at Oyansana,” he said.

Asfoatse Bekoe also proposed that the community’s long-standing appeal for better roads be sent out 2 to 3 days after the Homowo invitation.
According to him, this timing will ensure the road appeal does not get buried and will also present an opportunity to invite government officials to come and witness the state of the Adjen Kotoku roads during Homowo, when many people will be in town.

He added that three key communications can be prepared to support the process:
1. *A Ga translation* of the Homowo invitation to reach elders and community members directly
2. *Flyer text* with bold headings for WhatsApp, Facebook, and designer use
3. *A formal letter* to the Minister of Roads, MP, or DCE on the road infrastructure appeal

Asfoatse Kwame Bekoe is therefore asking: should the festival be communicated as *8th August 2025* or *8th August 2026* to avoid any confusion?

The community awaits final confirmation as preparations for Homowo intensify.
