CATHOLIC CATECHISTS FROM ACROSS GHANA TO CONVERGE IN BOLGATANGA FOR NATIONAL CONFERENCE*
BOLGATANGA, UPPER EAST REGION — Catechists, Priests, Religious, and Lay Faithful from across the country will gather in Bolgatanga later this month for the National Catholic Catechist Conference 2026.
The 4-day conference will be held from Thursday 20th to Sunday 23rd August 2026 at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish and Social Centre, Bolgatanga.
This year’s gathering will be under the theme _Marriage as a Vocation and Sacrament_. Organizers say the conference will focus on deepening the understanding of marriage in the Church and equipping Catechists to better teach, guide, and support families in their communities.
The National Catholic Catechist Association is hosting the event and is encouraging Catechists from all dioceses to attend.
Participants are expected to engage in formation sessions, prayer, and fellowship aimed at renewing their vocation and strengthening the role of Catechists in parish life.
The Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish, Bolgatanga will host the conference.
