Hon. Bishop T/Dr. Samuel David, also known as Samuel K. Denoon, Founder of Solution Center and Herbal Church, and Independent Candidate for Amasaman Constituency in the 2024 elections, has called on traditional leaders to use this year’s Homowo Festival to promote peace and unity.
Speaking ahead of the celebration, Bishop Samuel said it is time for Ga chiefs and traditional authorities to fully celebrate Homowo in a spirit of togetherness.
He, however, urged caution during gun firing and traditional rites, warning that “when they are using gun powder they should be careful, because people can also intervene with different powers.”
The Bishop called on Ga chiefs, Assembly Members, politicians, and security agencies to be vigilant throughout the festival period to ensure the safety of citizens and maintain law and order.
“Homowo is a time of reflection, unity and thanksgiving. Let us celebrate peacefully and protect the dignity of our tradition,” he added.
