Promised fulfil,Okaikwei North MP begins the construction of asphalt roads within the constituency
The Members of Parliament for Okaikwei North Constituency, Hon. Theresa Lardi Awuni has fulfil her campaign to lobby for the asphalting of local town roads within her Constituency
According to her, the upgrade of the road projects is aimed at improving local transport and boost economic activity within the Okaikwei North Constituency in the Greater Accra Region
The alphaltic project is a collaboration between the road and highways agencies and the Okaikwei North Constituency to convert rough inner-city roads into durable asphalt or paved surfaces.
Speaking with the media, during an inspection of ongoing roads and drainage system projects,the Assembly member for Abofu Electoral Area in the Okaikwei North Constituency, Hon. James Aklogo said completed asphalt brings relief to drivers and residents by reducing dust, lowering vehicle maintenance costs, and easing access to local markets and health centers.
He however praised the MP for improving the constituency’s infrastructure as her a main priority cautioned residents against washing their cars on the roads, spilling oil and cooking on the roads
He also appealed to the Alogboshie residents to cooperate with the contractors to enable them execute the project on schedule as they are slated to be completed within the time frame.
Some of the Alogboshie residents also shared their joy and also thanked the MP and government for the relief.
