The National Union of Ghana Catholic Catechists Association (NUGCCA) has ended its national conference at Boga on a joyful note, with a call on Catechists to go and save families through proper teaching on marriage.
Speaking on the theme *”MARRIAGE, VOCATION AND SACRAMENT,”* the National Catechist, *Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Dector*, thanked Almighty God for a successful programme from start to finish.
He listed three key reasons for thanksgiving:
1. Safe journey for all Catechists from across Ghana to Boga.
2. Wisdom and knowledge shared on the theme.
3. God’s protection and grace throughout the programme.
Rev. Fr. Dector said Catechists have learned that marriage is a Vocation from God and a Sacrament that gives grace, not just a social contract.
He therefore urged all Catechists to return to their parishes and teach what they have learned to help save families.
He expressed special thanks to Bishops and Priests for their support, the NUGCCA National Executives and Planning Committee, the Boga Parish and hosting community for their hospitality, and all Catechists for their discipline, punctuality and active participation.
He then officially declared the conference closed and wished all participants safe journey back to their various destinations.
_In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen._
