Robert Mensah has been elected as the Ahafo Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the party’s regional elections.
His election makes him the first person to occupy the position in the current executive cycle.
In his victory speech, Mr. Mensah called on party members to put aside their differences and unite for victory in 2028.
“Let us become one. Those who lost, let us call them and bring them back so that together we can win 2028,” he said.
He emphasized that the NPP must work harder to improve its parliamentary and presidential fortunes, noting that the party secured only one parliamentary seat in some areas in 2024.
Mr. Mensah described his election as historic and pledged to work for the growth and development of the NPP in the Ahafo Region.
The new Regional Chairman delivered his unity message as the party begins preparations towards the 2028 general elections.
