MCE Outlines Developmental Projects, Commissions And Hands Over Projects To Communities
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly, Hon. Tamimu Halidu, has outlined a range of developmental projects undertaken by the Assembly to improve infrastructure and living conditions across the municipality, while calling for a culture of maintenance.
Hon. Halidu made this known during a commissioning and handing-over ceremony held in various communities within the municipality.
According to him, the Assembly has undertaken several key projects to address the development concerns of residents.
On water supply, he said the Assembly has constructed 13 mechanized boreholes at various locations including Zongo, Asubone, Aduagiri-4/40, Nsuta and Zalagoza, all in the Nkawkaw township, to improve access to potable water.
On education, a three-unit kindergarten classroom block constructed at the Salvation Army School has been commissioned.
He further announced the commissioning of a Zonal Council Office and a mechanized borehole at the Kwahu Fodoa Community, among other projects aimed at improving facilities in the municipality.
Hon. Halidu stressed that the Assembly would continue to pursue projects that address the needs of residents and contribute to the overall development of the Kwahu West Municipality.
On their part, chiefs and residents of the beneficiary communities commended the MCE and the Assembly for commissioning several projects in the areas of education, water systems and other initiatives.
They praised his commitment to development and assured him of their readiness to support the Assembly to ensure the sustainability of the projects.
