Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Alhaji Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has said that the party has a message to tell Ghanaians, and that the campaign team must work hard to sell the message to the people.
Following the announcement of his campaign team last week, the Vice President and the Flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has officially inaugurated his campaign team and his manifesto committee to officially kickstart his 2024 campaign.
Addressing the gathering at the inaugural ceremony at Alisa Hotel in Accra, Dr. Bawumia said the NDC has proven that they have no message, because they’re promising policies that already exist, but the NPP has a message and the vision to campaign on, and that they only need to go down and tell their message to the Ghanaian people.
He expressed optimism that the team will work hard to ensure victory in the 2024 elections.
Chairman of the Manifesto Committee, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu urged both teams to work in tandem with the vision of the Flagbearer. According to him, the campaign is all about the Presidential candidate and not individuals.
Chairman/Strategist of the Campaign Team Dan Botwe called on the team members to submit to the mission and ideas of the campaign and eschew division.
He added again, that after eight years in opposition, the only vision, ideas, and message the NDC has for Ghanaians to win power is the 24-hour economy. Indeed the NDC doesn’t have a message nor ready to win power that’s the reason why Ghanaians rejected President Mahama in 2016 and 2020 and it will be repeated in the 2024 general elections.
