ACBF LAUNCHES PROGRAMME AIMED AT BUILDING LEADERSHIP IN AFRICAN PUBLIC FINANCING.

The African Capacity Building Foundation(ACBF) has launched a programme designed to transform public financial management across the African continent

Speaking at the launch, director of programmes at ACBF, Mbacke Niang pointed out that the event marked a pivotal step towards empowering senior public finance managers across the continent with leadership skills necessary to navigate complex fiscal landscape and drive transformative change.

According to him,the Leadership Excellence in Africa’s Public Sector (LEAPS) initiative serves as catalyst for building the kind of leadership Africa needs to drive sustainable, development, achieve financial resilience, and realize their shared vision for an empowered continent.

Mr Mbacke Niang urged public sector leaders on the continent to go beyond expertise, adding that the challenges we face as continent require leaders who can combine technical knowledge with skills such as such as integrity adaptability, collaboration and visionary thinking.

He alluded that Africa has the power to cultivate a new generation of public finance leaders who will not only manage resources but also transform them into real opportunities for development when we come together as a unit.

The programme director urged all the participants to embrace the opportunity at their disposal fully, with a commitment not only to their growth but to that of their institution and country.
