Gender Centre for Empowering Development,West Africa has raised some concerns on persons living with Disability(PWDs)for having difficulties with ease of access in some pulling centres.

Eminent Women for the Gender Election Watch Situation Room at a press briefing alluded that at Freeman Hotel in the Asokwa Constituency, a number of PWDs and the aged were unable to access the tent.

According to her, Upper Denkyira East Constituency- PWDs are facing issues when it comes to accessibility to a voting booth because of a staircase.
She added that at Ayawaso West Wuogon, most EC officials do not inform visually impaired persons about the availability of tactile ballot papers.

Dr Mensah-Kutin asserted the act by the commission staff has let to the number of visually impaired voters having to go to voting booths with persons to assist them, depriving them of their right to secret voting.
“In all Gender Centre for Empowering Development((GenCED) West Africa has deployed 230 election observers across the country,”he quizzes.
