POLICE CAUTION GHANAIANS TO DESIST FROM VANDALISINGSTATE PROPERTIES

Ghana Police Service is urging citizens to refrain from vandalizing state properties, following recent incidents of destruction and looting.

The Ghana Police service has announced a range of security measures after the election assuring citizens of peace after the elections.

In fact, 89 suspects have already been arrested for attacking and damaging state properties, including the Electoral Commission office in Damango and in all parts of the country.

ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi asserted that the police service has obtained photoage of the attacks and is reviewing it to identify and apprehend other perpetrators.

“They are also deploying officers to key locations to maintain law and order”.

The Inspector General of Police has directed all commanders to arrest and deal with anyone found vandalizing state institutions.

She reiterated that the government has instructed security agencies to deploy personnel across the country to arrest anyone caught vandalizing government property.
