The United Nations has commended the Nations Election Security Task Force for maintaining peace law and order in just ended general elections.
The pointed out that the results and example by the National Election Security Task Force in the December 7th polls will inspire other countries in West Africa and the rest of Africa.
Speaking to the media at the NESTF press centre, Leonard Santos Simao ,UN special Representative of the secretary general for West Africa alluded that they want people of Africa to select their leaders,adding it should happen in peace and in tranquility.
He is of the view that the educative role that NESTF took upon themselves to engage Ghanaians played a key role in the just ended general elections.
Leonardo Santos urged other African countries to contact the NESTF and learn how to prepare and how to conduct a peaceful election.
