Media Foundation for West Africa(MFWA) has admonished that the 2024 general elections were engulfed with lies information.
Kwaku Krobea Asante Coordinator of Ghana fact-check coalition at MFWA stated that some media outlets were seen providing false information to Ghanaians.
Speaking to telegraphonline, Kwaku Asante alluded that false information goes along way in affecting the outcome of elections.
He added that it would be prudent for journalists in going forward to come together to create a media situational room for elections to help curtailed information.
Mr Asante opined that media foundation for West Africa will document the report and distribute it to various key stakeholders as far as Ghana’s electoral process are concerned.
