The Ghana Police Service under the auspices of the National Elections Security TaskForce has launched an investigation into the shooting incident that occurred at Nsanwam Adowojiri constituency in the Eastern region.
The police pointed out that the victim is receiving medical attention and is also assisting police with their investigations.
Head of public affairs directorate at the Ghana Police Service ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi asserted that 9 additional persons have been arrested over the last 24 hours.
According to her, the total number of suspects so far arrested in connection with the post elections disturbances now stands at 132, of which 45 have been remanded.
