The Electoral Commission of Ghana has halt the re-collation of 4 constituencies outstanding election results from the Eastern region.
The re-collation which was ongoing at the police detective academy was halted after NDC Secures interlocutory court injunction.
A press release signed by the deputy chairperson,operations indicated that the re-collation has been put on hold until further notice.
According to them,the inability to collate and declare results on election day which lead to the re-collation at the Police detective academy, was due to disruption of their collation processes by political party supporters on election day and the days following.
The commission alluded that they informed political parties of the change in location to the police detective academy after agreement with the Inspector-General of Police and his team.
