A recent findings by the Centre for Democratic Development Ghana has shown that 76 separate incidents were recorded in the just ended 2024 general elections,where 6 lost their lives, leaving 46 people sustaining various forms of injuries
Nana Kwabena Aborampah Mensah,Programme manager in charge of security sector governance at CDD-Ghana, alluded that the entrenched nature of electoral violence in the 2024 general elections poses a significant threats to human security.

According to him,the incident desk at CDD will track the status of the cases that have been recorded in the justice division, from arrest, investigation, prosecution, and adjudication.
He opined that the tracking of the incident case is to aid victims affected by electoral violence in the pursuit of justice adding that they will follow up in the regions,constituencies and communities where the incidents happened to validate their data in the system
He commended the National Election Security Task(NESTF)for their crucial role they played in ensuring the country had minimal post elections violence.
The CDD incidents desk is basically set up to review elections related violence cases in the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.
